[/rant on]
I found something very interesting in the news the other day....again (third year in a row??) the USPS (the Post Office) is going to raise our rates to 44 cents....these days thats not totally surprising....HOWEVER....I live in a zip code where mail is notoriously late....not just delivered late in the day but sometimes things are either not delivered AT ALL or it takes many days to go across town. Case in point....friends of my mom's sent a Christmas Card to her in early December...it came back to them so they tried to re-send it...came back again and this time they called only to find out they claimed my mom "doesn't live here anymore"...boy what a lie that is since she's been at this address for almost 29 years....and no the address wasn't any different...we finally did get the card....but still its ironic that the USPS wants to raise our rates when they can't even get mail delivery right....
Oh yea the stimulus package...supposed to go to improve things....we need a stretch of highway improved close to home.....all of the other area expressways and ramps have been worked on but this one....and I have to play dodge em so my poor car doesn't suffer another busted up tire or three....if they cry foul and claim they don't have the funds then there is something terribly wrong....grrrrrr.....

OK enough ranting for one night....we're at the tail end of another weekend....wasn't too terribly busy but I did get some things done....all the bills are ready to be mailed out and the food is bought so at least I am not TOO broke....yet.....and I am hoping to take a vacation day either on Friday or next Monday to make a long weekend (of dong nothing) since no Seven Last Words nor church choir practice this weekend...this way I can get my car fixed and maybe get a voice lesson in......perhaps tomorrow will be quiet at work too....one can only hope.

I know I know...I said at the beginning of the year I would blog more...and I broke that resolution rather quickly! Life happens it seems and when I decide if I want to blog about it, I forget about it and next thing you know....so again I am going to try harder and blog more often....life is definitely full of quirks and things worth savoring.....
I am going to try and write some more later...I need to sort out some thoughts..... :)
