Well I am back from my East Coast adventure....and today has been a long day. I will fill in with more info about the details of the rest of the trip but suffice to say it went well and a few more surprises along the way.
While I was gone from here, Chicago got a lot of rain....basement here flooded a bit and have to do a few things this week to get back into the swing of it as it were....
Today went well with the Baptism and I had the chance to see the event at a Methodist church in NY....quite an interesting service....Brad and Angela have a really cute kid thats for sure.
Anyway I will write more tomorrow as I am tired and need to get to bed soon....

Day 3 of this vacation has passed and I am still in Boston. I'm tired and sore from all the walking I did so hopefully will get some decent sleep tonight although I will be on the bus tomorrow going back to NYC for part of the day.
Today I wanted to walk around Boston...so the friend I made last night (Ian from Austalia) and I took the bus and the subway (the "T" as its called around here) and went into Boston, first stopping at Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox and taking the tour. It was a great time finding out all the different things about the stadium (the oldest ballpark around...something Wrigley can't say!) and seeing the field from different points of view. Only problem was that it was raining when we left the park and we got soaked.
So then we got back to the "T" and proceeded to walk around downtown Boston...ate at Quincy Market and met up with another guy from the hostel....sat around talking with this other guy (nice to find out about these guys and what makes them tick with their travels). After awhile I ended up separating from them and trying to find out where a particular church was as I had wanted to go to Mass...turns out I walked to another part of town where there were some old churches and found out where this other church was...so tomorrow morning am hoping to push out of here early and go to Mass before the bus ride.
I did get the souvenirs for the co-workers plus the shot glass for Trice and the magnet for Karen...bookmarks for everyone else. I might try and get some chocolate to share for the co-workers but we'll see....
Just wanted to say that this has been an interesting trip thus far, considering on Saturday afternoon I had no idea what I had wanted to do...glad to see I can still trust my instincts and so far with a little prayer and open-mindedness, I've not only had a good experience, but I've met some people in the process (hopefully a close friendship too!)
Anyway enough for tonight...hopefully will have a good day tomorrow including a fun time at Shea along with a relaxing bus ride back to NYC....gee another action packed day ahead!!!

It is September 9th, 2008...I have not written in this blog in what seems like forever.
Currently I am in the middle of vacation (holiday as some call it) to the East Coast...it was supposed to have been a baseball trek with Dave but I had to go solo...oh well sometimes these things happen for a reason...haven't figured this one out yet but nonetheless I am having a good time so far, exploring places I haven't been to in a long time.
Yesterday was a long and tiring day...I went from Aunt Marilyn's to NYC to Boston via a commuter train, several subways, a Chinatown to Boston Bus, and a commuter bus...all told about 7 hours going from one place to the other but in the end its been worth it.
I'm also experiencing something I've never done before...and that is stay in a hostel. I didn't feel like paying in upwards of $100 - $200 for a hotel room so decided to try something different. Thanks to a couple of website I found this place outside of Boston proper and its been a decent stay so far...could have slept better last night but will hopefully tire myself out so I can sleep tonight.
