3 Jan 09 (actually early morning 4 Jan but whos counting???)
Just about ready for bed but figured I would add an entry to my blog as its been an interesting last couple of days. After running some errands when I got out of work yesterday, I finally got downtown today to see the city tree and St. Peter's Church decorations..something which I try to do every year. It was cold walking around but I got at least a couple of miles of walking in.
Also of note...Corner Bakery for dinner and my first Duncaccino (Duncan Donut's version of a Cappacino) in ages....gee thats two paninis I've already eaten this year....methinks I need to learn how to make em at home....they are yummy!!!
Thanks to the Mystery Shop I did today I re-discovered Cook Brothers....when I worked at Central Intake on Ashland so many years ago, Cook Brothers used to be nearby....they have since moved further west off of Grand Avenue....they had some good deals there but will need to go back there from time to time.
Anyway, my current wishlist consists of:
Digital Camera
DVD/VCR Player
Upgraded Computer
Among other DVDs and CDs....look out Freecycle!!
Time for bed here....church in the AM and some grocery shopping....I don't think Dave has his computer on DSL yet so will probably be going up there next weekend...oh well!

OK so its January 1st...the beginning of another year...so yea its time to make those resolutions...
One thing I am going to try to do is blog more...I know I've said it before but I hope this is the year I actually do it.....and not just on an occasional basis. Another thing I am going to try and do is some major housecleaning...I seriously need to clean out a few spaces and downsize. Yet another resolution is try and lose some weight....exercise more (hiking and walking come to mind....that mp3 player I invested in should help in that regard) and the final thing I am going to try and do is work on ways to make money on the side...yea I know a lot on my plate but if I could take those "baby steps" and work towards the bigger goals I think I might have a shot at it....and looking back I did accomplish a goal in 08 to get myself a newer car....it was more a necessity in the end but a goal achieved nonetheless....
Anyway today turned out pretty good...after Mass this morning and Fr. Tony (and our last minute choir sounding pretty darn good) I ventured up to my buddy Dave's to help him get his DSL going so at least he could enjoy his internet experience and stuff I email him.
So I get there and survey the situation and we must have fiddled with the cords and startup disc at least ten times and called their toll free hotline twice....turns out its an upgrade problem on THEIR end and now it will be a few more days til Dave gets his DSL....
After our struggle we went out for a bit to eat....Panera Bread....yummy!! And we talked for awhile.
Got home around 8 and have been relaxing the rest of the night......so now to get ready for work tomorrow (UGH) but then it is Friday so the weekend is almost upon us!!!
